BeComing:  Gateway to the Sacred Feminine
Feb 8, 2:00 - 5:00 pm

A Circle of Sisters with Patricia Laufer @ Yoga Shivaya

We are at a pivotal time on our beloved planet. A time of ascension, of
evolution. In order to fully step on our path, and connect more deeply to
our purpose, flow, and our soul's guidance, we must release anything we
are storing in our bodies (physical, emotional and energetic - such as guilt,
shame, fear) and in our minds (old thought patterns, beliefs) that are not
of love.

We must embody the Divine Feminine. In our sacred circle of sisters we will create ceremony and:
- Channel/receive guidance from our spirit guides about the specifics
of release and embodiment
- Release all that is ready to go, all that is no longer serving, through
movement and guided meditation/energetic healing
- Fill our sacred vessel with the nectar of the sacred feminine through gentle movement,
ancient practices, and lovingly witnessing and being witnessed by our sisters.

Mantra and Yogic Chant
Nov 17, 4:00 - 5:00 pm

The word mantra means "mind protection" and is associated with a sound or phrase that is repeated.  Words, like all sounds, carry vibrations in them.  When we repeat fearful, judgmental and angry words, we fill our minds with those sentiments.  When we repeat loving phrases, we gradually tune ourselves to resonate with love.  Mantra promotes a sense of peace and well-being, empties the mind of negativity, and opens us to meditation and stillness.  Mantra that is intoned is chant, which enhances the vibration effect.  This class is open to all levels of experience, from the curious to the committed!

Cost is $20 at the door.  Yoga Shivaya members may use your pass.  No need to register; just come!

Move into Stillness:  A Gentle Yoga Retreat with Kathleen Hinge
Oct 6, 2:00 - 5:00 pm

Stillness is not the absence or negation of energy, life, or movement.  Stillness is dynamic.  It is unconflicted movement, life in harmony with itself, skill in action.  It can be experienced whenever there is total, uninhibited, unconflicted participation in the moment you are in--when you are wholeheartedly present with whatever you are doing. -- Erich Schiffmann

Join Kathleen for a gentle yoga retreat, accessible for all levels of yoga experience and physical ability.  We'll slow way down, led by meditative awareness on breath and sensation, committed to moving only within the body's comfortable range of motion.  Experience "moving into stillness," which leads effortlessly to an extended savasana (deep relaxation) and closes with quiet, wholehearted presence in seated meditation.

Cost is $45 if you register before Sep 30; $60 thereafter.

Yin Yoga & Acupuncture
June 5, 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Yin Yoga and Acupuncture promote health and well-being by enhancing the flow of Life Force (chi, prana) through the body. Yin Yoga does this by placing the body into a sequence of particular shapes, and then holding these shapes passively for several minutes each. Each Yin pose creates a constructive tension within a different region of the body that, upon release of the pose, causes chi to flood the region. Acupuncture enhances the flow of chi by painlessly inserting needles at particular points in the body where the chi pathways (meridians) flow.  We'll focus specifically on the heart and small intestine meridians as these are the dominant energy meridians in summer.  This gentle practice is suitable to all levels.

Cost is $35 in advance; $40 at the door.

Introduction to the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu
Mar 22, 6:30 - 7:45 pm

Jin Shin Jyutsu is a form of energy work that originated in Japan.  It was an ancient practice that got lost and was then recovered by a Master teacher and scholar named Jiro Murai about 100 years ago.   Jin Shin Jyustu is self care that involves holding points throughout the body that can help free up blocked energy.  It can help manage chronic pain, insomnia, stress and anxiety etc. The technique teaches us to honor the ourselves holistically and recognizes that all things are in relationship.

This class will consist of explanation of the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu as well as experiential exercises practice of tuning into yourself energetically.  It is my experience that practicing energy healing in a safe group environment can be very impactful.  Each person will go home with a handout of techniques practiced so it can be incorporated into everyday life as needed.  A brief informational video may be found on my website:   https://www.bariruck.com/services

Cost is $20 to drop in; YS members may use your pass.  No registration required, just come!
